To promote unity among the members and ensure group solidarity and harmony
-
To cooperate with other organizations and groups having similar objectives
Our Motto: is Igwebuike, Udo ka Mma meaning Unity is strength, Peace is the best.
Going forward, Okija UK intends to work with all Okija indigenes both home and abroad in the implementation and empowerment initiatives. These will include, but not limited to, projects designed to further enhance and sustain growth as well as ultimately eliminate poverty and deprivation within Okija town. Over the coming months, plans are underway to implement grass root projects that will enhance Education, Training and Mentorship for Okija indigenes.
The Okija Mentorship, Educational and Wi-FI Project (ME-WiFi Project) is designed to provide new furniture for schools in Okija and the installation of modern IT Lab with full Wi-Fi functionalities and E-learning platform. The project will also enable our children and young people to be matched with experienced professionals who will mentor them in different occupational sectors and skills set. The underpinning rationale is to empower, pave the way and anchor our youths towards developing their careers, ambitions and ultimately attain self-actualizations. Okija UK is committed to working actively and joining forces with other Okija Community Unions and groups around the world to deliver key projects that will benefit Okija indigenes and ultimately enhance our Okija town.
We have arranged to recognize a list of individuals by way of giving Leadership and Excellence awards for their commendable community work over the years towards our Okija town. The list is by no means exhaustive in that it will be a continuous event where other people will be awarded in the coming years. We pray that Almighty God will lead you safely back to your various homes when you leave us We also pray that God shall grant you much blessing, grace, peace and replenish you for any contribution you may have made both financially or otherwise toward the sustainability of Okija UK in Jesus mighty name ..Amen.
Long live Okija UK, Long live friends of Okija UK and Long live all the Igbo people.
