Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment to our members in order to come and interact, socialize, network and enhance social cohesion and integration. Membership includes all ages and we hold regular meetings on the second Sunday of every month. Our officials are elected every two years. The current President is Chief Dr. Azuka Benson and Vice President is Victus Dominic .Ihiala Local Government Association UK is a charitable organisation. Over the years we have organised various events in order to fund projects such as renovation of a maternity ward at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital at Ihiala, purchase and distribution of medicines to hospitals and health centres in the 9 towns that make up the Ihiala Local Government Association UK namely, Azia, Ihembosi, Ihiala, Iseke, Lilu, Mbosi, Okija, Orsu-umuoghu and Uli in Anambra state, Nigeria. In the UK we have organised health promotion and advice, support members experiencing difficulties especially during periods of bereavement. We have also supplied food parcels to residents of the Okija Leprosy Centre.
